Launching and baptism of Life-boats, June 18, 2016
"Aalborg Regatta Launching Lifeboats: Today, three proud, beautiful and strong women will be out on their first journey together. They have long gathered strength in Mygdal for their trip where hundreds of loving and skilled hands have shaped them, patted them, groomed them and prepared them for leaving home, and go out into society and live and celebrate the life for which they are intended.
It is a great honor that we in Aalborg provide the port for them to be baptized and launched, so that they can be sent off in style and that we also, in a festive way, have the opportunity to thank and pay tribute to their huge family. There is one, however, who, more than any anyone else, carries the honour for bringing Life-boats into the world and for making it possible us to participate in this celebration - namely their "mother" artist, Marit Benthe Norheim."

Dorte Larsen som var en stor hjælp og støtte til Life-boats, skrev denne smukke sang til den sidste støbefest i september 2015. Desværre er Dorte ikke hos os mere da hun døde pludseligt i foråret 2016. Sangen blev uddelt og sunget af sangerinde Sofie Trolde sammen med alle gæsterne til søsætningen.
